I shop at Strawberry.net, a discounted designer cosmetics and skin care site. When they send me a box of products, it arrives wrapped with a lilac ribbon. I enjoy that; I think I've received a present. Even the contents are wrapped in spangly paper, adding to my gift experience. This might be a Strawberry sales gimmick, but it works for me.
Of course I pay for the products. I shop with Strawberry because it has a) a range of beauty products; b) a selection of brands; c) good prices; d) no shipping costs; and e) loyalty discounts.
A year ago I bought an eau de toilette. Since then, I've bought soaps, shampoos, conditioner, lipsticks, lipliner, moisturiser, body lotion, hair products, deodorant and foot creams. I can't remember when last I bought cosmetics at the mall.
My latest purchase was a foot scrub, which I liked enough to buy a foot smoother from the same manufacturer.
At Strawberry I enjoy bargain buying as well as shopping at the high end of town. Sometimes I'm rewarded with small gifts: a lipstick; an eye shadow.
Strawberry also sells men's products. I'll have to persuade Thomas he needs beauty buys. I wonder if boy's stuff comes wrapped in lilac ribbon?

I love those beautiful packages done up in a lilac ribbon! Such a thrill...
ReplyDeleteI'm also very pleased if they include a free product. Doesn't get better than this!
I agree: the free products are a great bonus.
